Rugby is a key piece of ZoomFiji’s work. Rugby has been in Bruce’s blood all his life. When you are raised in New Zealand, every boy’s original dream was to be an All Black. From the childhood barefoot winter games in fields across Northland, New Zealand, Bruce has enjoyed rugby. On the field he played club rugby for Kamo, and played a couple of seasons for the Northland B team in provincial rugby.
Off the field, Bruce has done much more, photographing the Rugby World Cup in France in 2007 as a highlight. Bruce followed the Fiji team as they advanced to the RWC quarterfinals, slaying the Welsh Dragon along the way and doing their nation proud.
The IRB then contracted Bruce as their official photographer in the Oceania region. In this role, Bruce has covered numerous matches across the region, from grassroots to test matches and Sevens.
In 2009, Bruce was the official photographer for the Sevens Rugby World Cup in Dubai and right now he is polishing his lenses for the Pacific Rugby Cup, and Pacific Nations Cup in 2010 in Fiji and Samoa, respectively.
Years of playing the game have equipped Bruce to understand and anticipate the great game of rugby. He captures the action and passion for the rugby world to see on the official rugby site for the IRB in Oceania:

ZoomFiji shoots exclusively with Canon gear.
