April & Craig
Location: Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort
How they met
We met while Craig was attending a party and April was working at the bar. We spoke that evening, however, we went our separate ways. It took us a number of weeks to reconnect via text and as they say, the rest is history!
The proposal
Craig planned on proposing to April for over a year! Once April booked a holiday to Bali for Craig’s 30th birthday, he knew that he would propose in front of their friends at some point on the trip. Craig was nervous holding onto the engagement ring and decided that it was going to happen on the second day of their holiday. In front of some of their closest friends, Craig proposed on the Yellow Bridge in Nusa Lembongan. April was extremely surprised and they were able to celebrate in Bali for the remainder of their trip.
Vision for their Fiji wedding
Our vision was to have a day filled with love, happiness and relaxation. We wanted our guests to immerse themselves into the Fijian culture and be able to celebrate our wedding in a unique way.
Family traditions
April’s grandmother loaned her a special heirloom handkerchief that has been worn by multiple brides within the Littlewood Family on each of their wedding days. A tradition that will continue as family members marry.
Advice for Fiji brides
Our advice is to follow your heart and make choices reflecting on what you and your partner want. It is one day that you’ll never get back so you need to celebrate the wedding the way that makes the two of you happy.
Why they chose Zoomfiji
We researched an abundance of photographers and videographers when we initially booked our wedding date. We wanted photos that weren’t overly edited and captured unique moments in the day and we could see that in Zoomfiji’s work. In regards to videography, we knew we were booking Zoomfiji before we enquired! There is nobody in Fiji who does video like Zoom! The videography was unique for Fiji and are highly professional in quality. We must have watched 30 of the highlight videos prior to officially booking as we just enjoyed watching them.
In regards to photography, their photos are modern which capture special moments and have clean, crisp finishes. They are timeless and we knew that they will be admired on our walls for years to come! Elle was great to communicate with and nothing was too difficult to edit/change.
“To someone on the fence – I think a lot of couples are quite money conscious (which is very important), however, good photography and videography is worth the money!!”
